HOCUS POCUS

Actually all the witches are in.  Take a look into our crystal ball to see what magic we encoutered recently on our trip to Salem Mass.
It started out harmless enough, the three older witches (look a bit like Hocus Pocus?) and our two young apprentices (Maggie and Trish).
We sat around the caldron casting some spells and sharing Wiccan humor, but the night was turning out to be a bust.................
So we all hopped on a broom (conservation and all) and took a quick spin over Salem Mass for the family holiday celebration (Halloween).  That's when things started to go downhill...............
First we let Peg steer, had we known what she was up to earlier in the evening........... Here she is with the Black Cat,  drinking some of her witches brew..................

Ronnie gives me the bird (get it?)
The apprentices found the Glog Stash...............

Meanwhile we were flying under a full moon.....................................whith Peg at the helm.

It was a fun night all in all, but when the WFA (Witches Flight Association) gets a hold of these pictures, Peg's broom will probably be taken away for another sixty days!  DARN!

Let's just say, we weren't flying right!
Note to Self:  Make  more Brew!

PERFECT 10

"NUFF SAID

THE BOUNTY!

The Bounty! The garden is small, but it just keeps on giving! Check out the potatoes I dug up on Saturday! Aren't they great?

Then on Sunday, one of the nicest days this Fall, I suited up and headed out on the bike..........................
After a few twisties, I headed down the road to the HARPOON BREWFEST ! Where my friends and I gathered and celebrated Oktoberfest with Brew (I did the Root Beer - no worries)!
Here I am with my friends from the 'hood!    When I was growing up these were my school buds, I guess they still are my buds - Me, Kim and Sharon!!   Great to see everyone.
Sharon you look exactly the same!!! AMAZING!

Feeling Fall?

Get Ready - It's coming!  Fall is in the Air
I love cool nights
The sound of leaves crunching under your feet
Having to wear a big sweater

What I don't love is the traffic that invades my small town.  But I don't mind, I live in paradise and they all want a piece of it for a day!

So we often take a trip for a week or so, when the invasion gets to be too much.  Last year, my husband and I took a trip to Arizona.  We were lucky enough to visit a ghost town!  Here are the photos - enjoy!!

STONEWALL KITCHEN

 STONEWALL KITCHEN!
YOU KNOW IT BABY!

In September, my husband and I spent an overnight at a lovely B&B in Kennebunkport ME. The Captain Jefferd's Inn. It's located in the center of the town. It was our Anniversary Celebration and everything was lovely. The bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in, the food and service was outstanding and the room made us feel right at home!

On the ride back we drove through York, ME and stumbled across The Stonewall Kitchen Company Store and Cooking School.

I just couldn't resist and hour later, and a few bucks shorter, I left the store with some very heavy bags dreaming of the food I would make with all the sauces, mixes and jams I carried out!

Also, I signed up for a cooking class while my husband is traveling (http://VTBeemer.blogspot.com). I took my best friend, Adele and we learned what Welsh Rarebit was all about. This class was wonderful. It was like Dinner Theater. The food they make is served to you as they cook it in front of you. So you get a wonderful hot dinner, and all the recipes and instructions to go home and make the same.

A high note is that  Stonewall Kitchen doesn't spend all night pushing their products on you. I think they used one jar of sauce on the Spice Cake they made for dessert!

All in all, wonderful day in ME, good times with my best friend and a bit of shopping damage at the Kittery Outlets.

On the ride home, Adele's Daughters called and texted to fill us in on their day(s). I think it was Morgan who said something about "...trouble.. ". We just couldn't let it go..... Reply
"define trouble"
reply
"you and aunt Julie . . . .Trouble"

What can I say? I've known these kids my whole life, I guess they didn't miss much!

Adele and I laughed the whole ride home!
